Alec Ziebarth, MA LPCC
Mental Health Therapist
My Approach to Therapy
Welcome! I’m Alec (he/him). I strive to create a safe and open place for people of all identities to be able work collaboratively towards healing and self-discovery. There’s no “magic wand” that works perfectly for everyone in therapy, so my goal is to work with you to figure out what works best for YOU specifically. Every session you will find kindness, some humor, and support in a judgement free space. Therapy is hard work, but you won’t be doing it without support. I blend different types of therapy when working with clients: ACT, DBT, person-centered, IFS, among others. I tailor my approach to the individual to make sure the support is correct for you and your needs. I want to help you connect your body, mind, and emotions, helping you understand the truly amazing person that you are.
Populations I Serve
As a queer therapist, I strive to make people from all walks of life and identities feel welcome. I love working with college students, adults, senior clients, and the queer community. I am passionate about working with individuals struggling with grief/loss, anxiety, depression, as well as individuals exploring their gender identity and sexuality. Additionally, I enjoy working with common issues that men face, such as opening up, challenging masculinity norms, and developing a connection with their emotions.
