Individual and Couples Therapy in Fort Collins

Our Philosophy of Healing

In traditional psychotherapy we have set our focus on the language of emotions and modifying behavior. While this can offer growth and healthy change, deep healing and transformation often only happens when we address the whole person; mind, body, heart and soul.

Our Fort Collins therapists

Part of my strength as a therapist comes from my ability to hear more than just my clients' words, but to hear the unique experiences that are difficult to express in words alone. My detailed observations, natural, warm and empathetic responses have been remarked on as part of the overall agents of change in a session. I meet clients where they are without judgement and help to normalize and support even the most uncomfortable phenomena.

I believe in the resilience of the human spirit and heart, and work to help my clients grow, not just beyond their pain, but through their pain. I resist pathologizing human behavior and experience, and instead work to help clients put their experiences into meaningful context. I am certified in Depth Psychology, a licensed professional counselor, approved counselor supervisor, trained integrative mental health professional, experienced addictions counselor and trained in IFS, EMDR, DBT, mindfulness, and CBT. My professional interests include anxiety, trauma, LGBTQ+, self-esteem, substance abuse, spirituality and creativity.

Alec Ziebarth

There’s no “magic wand” that works perfectly for everyone in therapy, so my goal is to work with you to figure out what works best for YOU specifically. As a queer therapist, I strive to make people from all walks of life and identities feel welcome, and I am particularly interested in working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, adults, and older adults. I am passionate about working with grief/loss, anxiety, depression, relational concerns, and identity concerns. I view therapy through an eclectic lens, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, among others. I strive to create a welcoming, non-judgmental, and accepting environment for people of all identities where we can collaboratively work towards your goals.

Therapist LaRae Crawford

I see both couples and individual clients. Cultural competence is extremely important to me, and I take remarkable care and consideration in offering acceptance and awareness in working with teen and adult clientele of all different social backgrounds, abilities, spiritual beliefs, gender identities, and sexual preferences.

I practice from an integrative position with an emphasis on the humanistic and cognitive-behavioral perspective - which means that I take a very non-judgmental and accepting approach, prioritizing treating the whole person within their own individual uniqueness. In helping you to develop a strong and healthy sense of self and to foster growth in understanding your individual ability to change the way you think and behave, we can work towards further exploration into how you feel, on finding meaning in your life, and focusing on your strengths in a way that brings you peace

Jennifer Tossing

I take a humanistic approach, believing we are all unique beings with our own stories. As such, you are the expert on your own life. I create a space of acceptance and compassion where we can explore and reflect on your journey. It is in this acceptance and reflection where healing can begin. I look forward to meeting you and exploring together.
